Volta a Catalunya 2026 The 105th edition of the Volta a Catalunya will start this coming Monday and will finish the following Sunday, as always on the familiar Montjuïc circuit in Barcelona. There are three summit finishes — in Vallter, on the Coll de Palat and at the Sanctuary of Queralt —, which will be complemented by hilly stages and opportunities for the sprinters. With the inaugural edition held in 1911, the Volta a Catalunya is the oldest race on the cycling calendar, after the Tour de France and Giro d'Italia.

The Volta a Catalunya features three summit finishes, two of which are in the Pyrenees, while hilly stages and opportunities for the sprinters round out the route. The race gets underway on Monday 23 March and concludes on Sunday the 29th.

Sunday 29 March – As every year, the final stage of the Volta a Catalunya revolves around the Alto de Montjuïc in Barcelona. The riders bid farewell to the crowds with seven laps of the 7.9-kilometre city circuit. The closing stage, which almost always delivers plenty of spectacle, features 1,781 metres of climbing in 95.1 kilometres.
